Varkala, it is one of the most famous tourist places in south Kerala.  It is located, 185Km south of Kochi Port

and about 42 Km away from Trivandrum. It is the best spot along Kerala coast for watching sunset. It is a rare beach as the clif is on the bank of the Arabian Sea.  It also a cultural city as more than 850 years old Krishna (Janardhna) Temple, Sivagiri Madh etc. are located in there.  

  Apart from this there are many Backwater resort are located with in a 5 Km radius.  In Paravoor, which is located 5Km north to Varkala, one can enjoy the beauty of Sea and Backwaters at the same time.  It is wounderfull place to visit.
